Gulu took a sip of coffee and said, “This café has a good location and nice scenery, but the interior design…” He glanced around. “The owner’s taste could use some improvement.”
The seven-colored nine-tailed fox demon, Xue Ji, happened to approach with coffee.
Upon hearing this, she immediately restrained her smile and placed the coffee on the table with a thud.
Gulu jumped in surprise, saying, “The service here is so poor!”
“You criticize my taste and still expect good service from me?”
“Oh, so you’re the owner?” Gulu grinned. “Sorry about that, but I speak my mind. By the way, I almost forgot the most important thing—I want you to see the new coffee cups from my company. Look, the design is unique…”
As Gulu spoke, he pulled out the cup.
But Xue Ji didn’t even look at it and said, “You say my décor and service are inadequate, yet you want me to buy your cups?”
Her eyes flared, her chest heaving.
But a good word is worth a thousand gold.
Gu XiaoYun said, “A bitter truth is never pleasant. But good advice is worth a thousand. My brother is a billionaire; many people want to hear his kind words.”
“I’ve met plenty of braggarts! Everyone claims to be a billionaire.”
“Braggarts? Did you inquire about the mansion at the end of the street? Was that bragged about?”
“At the end of the street… Are you Gulu the alien?”
“I’m his sister, Gu XiaoYun. My brother is Gulu.”
Xue Ji pouted disdainfully. “So what? I heard you aliens have gold everywhere on your planet, like soil on Earth—worthless. Your brother brings gold to Earth, how could he not become rich?”
“Well… You need business acumen for that. Besides, my brother didn’t get rich from that. Back on our planet, he was financially free before college. Not to mention his Gulu Tea Room—expanding from one to ten, ten to a hundred, a hundred to a thousand branches worldwide, soon to be listed. Could he do that without some business talent?”
Gulu handed the cup to Xue Ji. “My Gulu Cup is as popular as Gulu Tea, with great designs and quality…”
Zhu Yi-neng interrupted, taking a sip of coffee.
“Let it go. Xue Ji is already upset. You still want to sell your cup? She’s already said she doesn’t want it.”
“Who said I don’t want it? I’ll buy it!” Xue Ji declared.
Zhu Yi-neng was surprised. “Why did you change your mind so quickly?”
“Because… I also admire talent. He’s so business-savvy…”
Xue Ji gazed affectionately at Gulu, seemingly smitten after Gu XiaoYun’s words earlier.
Zhu Yi-neng looked at Gu XiaoYun and said, “You claim you’re not a businessperson? I think you’re better at selling than your brother. You not only sell cups but even sold your brother.”
