Part 1: Is she the culprit?

Zhu Yi Neng and Sun Wukong walked into the Xueji Café and saw Chief Bull sitting at a table, looking around as if something was amiss.

The two sat down, and Sun Wukong asked, “Chief Bull, why the long face? Is the serial theft case bothering you?”

Chief Bull sighed, “Don’t even mention it. Just as one wave has not yet subsided, another rises. The theft case isn’t solved yet, and now there’s a robbery, almost leading to murder. You guys need to be careful.”

Zhu Yi Neng couldn’t help but laugh, “We’re skilled, what’s there to be careful about?”

Chief Bull gave him a sidelong glance, “Especially you, Zhu Yi Neng, need to be careful… careful of women. This time the suspect is a woman, a beautiful one at that, hard for any man to resist!”

“A beauty? Now I’m interested. Who is she?” Zhu Yi Neng’s curiosity was piqued.

“Don’t let your head get clouded by the word ‘beauty’. She’s a suspect! Robbery and attempted murder, a heart as cruel as a snake’s despite her looks. And you know her too…”

“We know her? Who is it? Hurry and tell us, you’re killing us with suspense.”

Chief Bull looked around, then lowered his voice, “I suspect it’s the Seven-Colored Nine-Tailed Fox Demon…”

Zhu Yi Neng couldn’t believe it, “You mean the owner of this place, the Seven-Colored Nine-Tailed Fox Demon?”

“Yes, Seven-Colored Nine-Tailed Fox, Xueji. To be honest, I’m here to arrest her…”

Before he could finish, they heard a cup drop to the floor, followed by someone shouting, “What?”

They turned around and saw it was Seven-Colored Nine-Tailed Fox Demon, Xueji.

“You… you suspect me… of robbery? Murder?” Xueji  started crying, “How can you accuse a weak woman like me?”

Chief Bull said coldly, “There are eyewitnesses. Someone saw you with the victim at 9 PM last night.”

“Nonsense! I was busy here in the café at 9 PM last night, many people can vouch for me,” Xueji said through her tears.

People immediately started speaking up, “Yes, I can vouch for her.”

“So can I.”

“And me.”

…

Everyone was eager to testify for the Nine-Tailed Fox Demon.

Chief Bull was both surprised and astonished.
