Sun Wukong and Zhu Yinen were sitting in a newly opened café.
Zhu Yinen took a sip of his coffee, but his eyes were fixed on the young proprietress behind the bar, Xueji.
Her skin was as white as snow, with a cherry-like mouth, and those enchanting eyes that seemed to electrify anyone who saw her.
Zhu Yinen said, “She is really a sight for sore eyes! No wonder the business is booming even though it’s newly opened.”
Sun Wukong sneered, “You mortals are all deceived by mere appearances. She might fool you, but she can’t fool my Fiery Eyes Golden Pupils.”
“Brother, you don’t mean to say she’s a demon, do you? That’s impossible!”
“If you don’t believe me, I’ll reveal her true form right now.”
He gestured for Xueji to come over.
Xueji walked over gracefully, her smile charming, and asked, “What would you two like to order?”
Sun Wukong chuckled, “Don’t think that just because you transformed into a human, you really are one, seducing everyone with your fox charms!”
Xueji immediately restrained her smile upon hearing this. She placed her hands on her hips and retorted, “What are you talking about? Spreading slanderous rumors!”
“I’ll let everyone know who the real demon is.”
As Sun Wukong raised his Golden-Banded Staff, Xueji let out a sharp scream and fell to the ground in shock.
Everyone saw her true form: a snow-white fox.
The crowd gasped in astonishment.
“Look, she has nine tails! It’s a Nine-Tailed Fox!”
“Not just that, look at her tails. Each of the nine tails is a different color…”
“A Seven-Colored Nine-Tailed Fox.”
“So beautiful, like a peacock spreading its tail…”
At this moment, Xueji, embarrassed and angry, transformed back into her human form and stood up.
She glared at Sun Wukong and said, “Who are you? I haven’t wronged you, so why do this to me? Now who will come to my café? Everyone will definitely leave…”
She glanced around, but instead of fear, she saw that the crowd, though surprised, remained calm.
“Aren’t you afraid of me?”
“What’s there to fear? Just a fox demon. Our Mount Sea Island is situated between the Three Realms, whether human, demon, god, or ghost. We’ve seen all kinds of strange people and events. There’s nothing we haven’t seen on Mount Sea Island.”
“However, while fox demons are not unusual, and even Nine-Tailed Foxes aren’t rare, a Seven-Colored Nine-Tailed Fox is indeed uncommon.”
At this moment, Xueji let out another scream.
Her nine tails had appeared again, and some mischievous children were pulling them.
She bared her teeth in pain and glared angrily, cursing.
One child laughed and said, “But your nine tails are each a different color. There are clearly nine colors, so why are you called a Seven-Colored Nine-Tailed Fox?”
“How should I know why? That’s just what people call me!”
